Mark Hagewood serves as the Assistant Director of Choral Activities and Program Coordinator for the Music Department. He has two degrees in Church Music: a Bachelor’s Degree from Martin Methodist College and a Master’s Degree from Belmont University. He also spent one summer studying at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. In addition to his higher education work, Mark has also worked at local churches, The United Methodist Publishing House, and the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry. He currently teaches the music theory courses, hymnology, conducting, Finale music software, musical theater, and is the director for the Concert and Chamber Choirs, which have performed locally, nationally, and internationally. He is married to Rachel, who teaches Development English at MMC, and they have one son, Lucas.
