The Martin Methodist College Student Financial Aid Office requires the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (www.fafsa.ed.gov) to be completed by every student who requests or receives financial assistance. This approach is sanctioned by the federal government in conjunction with the aid programs which it finances.
Federal Pell Grants: a direct grant from the federal government to the student. Awards can range from $400 to $4310 depending on the student's need.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG): a federal grant awarded by MMC. The award amount varies with need.
Federal College Work Study Program (FCWSP): is awarded based on financial need. Students typically work on campus approximately nine hours per week and earn $1,500 a year toward college costs.
General Merit Scholarship: students who qualify for the TN Lottery will receive $1000.00 for the 2007-08 year if they have an ACT score of 29 or higher.
TN Student Assistance Award (TSAA): a grant funded by the state of Tennessee. This award amount can range from $0 to $4644.
TN. Education Lottery Scholarship (TELS): a Tennessee State Grant of $3800.00 a year for the 2007-08 academic year to students who have a 21 ACT score or a 3.0 GPA are eligible.
TN. Hope Supplemental: students who qualify for the TN Lottery and have an income of less than $36,000.00 in the 2007-2008 year can receive $1500.00
Veteran’s Benefits: are also available to all qualifying students at Martin Methodist College.
Vocational Rehabilitation Grants: are available to all qualifying students who have a disability.
