The first public event featuring the Campaign for Martin 2010 followed the Board of Trustees spring meeting on April 20. The 90-minute reception featured examples of various performing and visual art talent to highlight the launch of the Fine Arts Center drive.
The event included major announcements regarding the overall success of Martin 2010 and campaign. In addition to a review of the Martin 2010 projects already completed (CCL, Entrance Gates, Colonial Hall), President Ted Brown and Chairman of the Board Michael Barton recognized major gifts involving the natatorium, East Campus, Old Gym/Fine Arts, property acquisition, and the Martin Hall Auditorium, not to mention the tremendous commitment from the Board of Trustees and Faculty/Staff campaigns, and the recent success of the Giles County Campaign.
