Kappa Delta Pi

Founded in 1911, Kappa Delta Pi has for its emblem a scroll, stylus, beehive, and Greek characters kappa, delta, and pi. The treasures of antiquity, which form the foundation of all modern education, rest upon the scrolls of papyrus. The Golden Scroll is the foundation. The shaft running through the scroll is the stylus, the first form of instrument known to be used in making letters and symbols. The beehive symbolizes toil. The characters kappa, delta, and pi represent our motto: Knowledge, Duty, Power – words fraught with the meaning of the educational ideal. The MMC chapter, Alpha Gamma Omega, was chartered in February of 2007.
