Sigma Tau Delta

In 1924, Sigma Tau Delta was formed as an outgrowth of the Dakota Wesleyan English Club. Judson Q. Owens, sponsor and founder, established the purpose, insignia, Greek letters, English words, (Sincerity, Truth, Design), and cardinal and black colors. The English honor society became international in 1988. Alpha Mu Alpha, MMC chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, was chartered in April, 2004.
