Since Martin Methodist College is the college of the Tennessee Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, we are a “Church-Related College”. Likewise, part of our mission in Church Relations is to establish relationships with the local churches to promote the concept of our United Methodist Churches becoming a “College-Related Church”. Nurturing our students is a fundamental educational component that we believe is unique to Martin Methodist College. Through Church Relations, this “nurturing” component extends from campus life into the local church. We acknowledge and appreciate Your role in assisting our students in achieving their academic and spiritual pursuits.
The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry share these compelling reasons why our churches should support United Methodist institutions:
· Our United Methodist institutions provide training and a campus environment that enables leadership development for both church and society.
· United Methodist-related colleges share a common commitment to the wholeness of persons and to the values of the church.
· These institutions combine excellence in education and growth in faith and values.
Martin Methodist College is no exception to these statements. In fact, our vision statement is in close alignment with these comments.
