Music

Choir and Chamber

The Martin Methodist Concert Choir makes a significant contribution to the college community and to the middle Tennessee and northern Alabama area. The choir appears in concerts presented in cities throughout the area as well as having a major Christmas concert and a spring concert in Pulaski. In the past four years, the choir has expanded its recognition by trips during spring break to Washington D.C.; London, England, where it participated in a celebration of the 300th anniversary of John Wesley’s birth and a rededication of his tomb; and to New York City, during the spring of 2005. During the spring of 2007, the choir traveled to Germany where they performed eight times in four different German cities-Frankfurt, Wurzburg, Nuremburg, and Berlin.

Membership is selected by audition with the director and assistant director and partial music scholarships are available. Members of virtually every major program on campus are represented in the sixty member group.
