Program Overview:
The goal of eChristian Education is to connect your passion with God’s purpose. We strive to provide the most up-to-date resources and training in Christian Education; Youth and Children's ministries. We offer nine online courses taught by professional Christian Educators that allow the students to apply what they are learning immediately to their ministries. eChristian Education combines practical application and theoretical foundations in preparing students for service in Christian Education; Youth and or Children's Ministries.
Paraprofessional Certification:
The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry oversees the certification process in the United Methodist Church. Once students have completed nine courses provided by eChristian Education, students will have met the academic requirements for paraprofessional certification in Christian Education, Youth and Children's Ministry. Each Annual Conference may have additional requirements to complete the certification process. Students will need to work with the Board of Ordained Ministry in their Annual Conference and with the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry to obtain their paraprofessional certification in Christian Education, Youth, and Children's Ministry. eChristian Education will provide the student with the documentation needed to verify course completion.
While eChristian Education welcomes students from all Christian faiths, the theological and doctrinal focus of our coursework is based on our United Methodist heritage.
Students of other Christian Faith Tradition can earn a certificate of completion.
Each course is five weeks long and is expected to take 3-4 hours a week. Only one course is offered at a time.
