We are dedicated to become a vital partner in the mission of the United Methodist Church. A commitment to be a model of church-relatedness means supporting and serving the churches of the Tennessee Conference and adjacent Conferences of the United Methodist Church. The Center for Church Leadership intends to engage in creative study pondering the hard questions facing the denomination and work to implement programming that will serve the Church and its mission in these extraordinary challenging times.

Based at Martin Methodist College and oriented to the United Methodist Church, the Cal Turner, Jr.  Center for Church Leadership offers courses and special training events. It is a place of convergence for scholars, clergy, church professionals and lay practitioners to reflect, dialog and learn from each other. We are committed to search out the best and current scholarship resources in literature, electronic media and human expertise and employ them in our educational programs.
