Annual Service Projects
Freshmen Service Day: During Martin Pride Week, incoming freshmen have the opportunity to serve in the community to become acquainted with Giles County.
Alternative Fall Break Trip: An annual trip taken by students, faculty, and staff to help with flood recovery efforts.
National Make a Difference Day: Recognized as a national service day, Martin Serves offers a free yard sale to the community among other small service projects throughout the day.
Boo-Out: An annual Halloween celebration in which student clubs and organizations set up game and craft booths for local Head Start and Day Care children.
Visit with Santa: A fun Christmas celebration for local Head Start and Day Care children in which each child has an opportunity to meet Santa and receive a toy!
Service Awareness Week: One week fully dedicated to raising awareness about service opportunities offered in the community.
Spring Service Day: Martin Serves hosts one final service event in late April each year. Previous service events include Spud Days and Spring Cleaning for the elderly.
Ongoing Service Projects: These projects include student led partnerships with local Community Partners. Examples include: monthly birthday parties at Hewitt House Assisted Living Facility; the After School Bible Study program at East End UMC; and test proctoring at the TN Career Center for adults with learning disabilities.
