Family and Individual Membership fees can be paid up front or paid on a quarterly basis.
Memberships begin July 1st and end June 30th. If you join within the year, the fee will be prorated.
 
Prior to purchasing a membership, please note that certain areas may not be availableat all times and all schedules are subject to change without notice, i.e. for Convocations, Varsity Athletic, the Summer Camps, Classes, and repairs. A complete schedule of operating hours, including reduced hours during holidays and academic recesses will be available online. Check class and activity postings in the main lobby and throughout the building to avoid any conflicts and inconveniences.
 


MMC HEALTH CLUB GENERAL RULES
 
  1. ID cards must be presented at the door for entry to the Health Club, and everyone must sign the register located at the front desk in the lobby.
  2. Guests of Health Club members must be non-residents of Giles County. A Guest Card must be obtained in advance from a Health Club staff person.
  3. A guest is the responsibility of the Health Club member. When the member leaves the building his or her guest must leave at that time also.
  4. Children under 14 must be accompanied and cared for by a responsible adult 18 years and older.
  5. Proper attire (pants, shirt, shoes) will be required to use the facility
  6. White sole tennis shoes are required for activities on the gymnasium floor and on the racquetball courts.
  7. Swimsuit attire allowed only in the swimming area (no wet suits in the gym or weight room).
  8. Activities other that that for which an area of the facility is designed must be approved by Martin Methodist College.
  9. No alcoholic beverages permitted in the facility or parking lot.
  10. No use of tobacco products permitted in the facility.
  11. Members must bring their own locks for the Lockers.
  12. Children 15 years of age and under may use the weight facility only by special arrangement between parent or guardian and health club management.
  13. Health Club Telephones are not for private conversations! Use should be limited.
  14. Drink machines are not the responsibility of the Health Club.
  15. Health Club Staff are not responsible for personal articles left in the gym, pool, racquetball courts or dressing rooms.
  16. Security bars on the rear doors are not to be removed without special permission.
  17. Anyone caught breaking the rules or misusing the Health Club will be asked to leave the facility.
 
*S P E C I A L  N O T I C E*
 
  1. Basketball rims are not to be hung on or popped.
  2. Kicking of any kind of balls is not permitted in the gym. (basketballs, volleyballs, soccer, nerf, etc.)
  3. For your safety, it is recommended that you wear goggles when playing racquetball
  4. Please do not drop or slam weights
 
MMC HEALTH CLUB POOL RULES
 
  1. No one will be allowed in the swimming area unless the pool is officially open and a lifeguard is on duty.
  2. No diapers may be worn in the pool, unless they are designed for swimming. All diapers must be clean.
  3. Children under 14 entering the pool must be accompanied and cared for by a responsible adult 18 years and older.
  4. Children 6 and under need to have a responsible adult in the water with them and within arms reach.
  5. Food and Drinks are not permitted in the pool area.
  6. Glass containers, alcoholic beverages, drugs and pets are not permitted in the pool area.
  7. A group of children (6 or more, 6-13 years of age) entering the pool must be directly supervised at poolside by an adult in swim attire. There must be one adult for every five children.
  8. Persons under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will not be permitted in the pool area.
  9. No person within the pool grounds shall behave in such a manner as to jeopardize the safety and/or health of himself/herself and/or others. Such behavior, including abusive or profane language, shall be grounds for expulsion.
  10. Authorized Employees are the only people allowed in the storage room, mechanical room and office.
  11. No improper conduct including running, pushing or horseplay will be allowed on the deck or in the pool.
  12. Guards have authority to enforce all pool rules. Patrons who repeatedly violate the rules may be ejected by the Lifeguard.
  13. Non swimmers must remain in shallow water
  14. Wearing eyeglasses in the pool is discouraged unless absolute necessary.
  15. Gum chewing is prohibited in the pool.
  16. No Diving
  17. Each individual wearing a personal flotation device must be accompanied by an adult in the pool, within arms reach.
  18. Periodically, lanes will be divided off for those persons wishing to swim laps undisturbed. Persons not swimming laps should remain in other areas of the pool.  
LAP SWIM POLICY
 
  1. Limit of three swimmers per lane.
  2. Swimming is counter clockwise; up the right and down the left of the lane.
  3. Individual time limit is 30 minutes.
  4. If no one is waiting to use the pool, swimmers may stay in longer.
  5. The Lifeguard may assist swimmers, to determine appropriate lane placement, and remind them of their time in the pool.
  6.  Individuals 14 years and under need to obtain the Aquatic Director’s approval in order to participate in Lap Swim.
