Hayes, Hopper crowned 2013 Homecoming King & Queen

Seniors from Antioch, Tenn., and Shelbyville, Tenn., selected from Homecoming court

A pair of seniors, Chase Hayes and Caitlin Hopper, were crowned 2013 Homecoming King and Queen during the RedHawks’ basketball doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 2.

Hayes, a business management major from Antioch, Tenn., and Hopper, a biology major from Shelbyville, Tenn., were crowned by President Ted Brown and by the 2012 Homecoming queen, Micah Anderson of Hohenwald, Tenn., who was a member of the graduating class of 2012.

Hayes, son of Terry Hayes and Tina Scott, is a member of the RedHawk bowling team, and Hopper, daughter of Drew and Marcia Hopper, is a member of the Thomas Martin Society, the Martin Methodist Concert Choir and the Residential Life staff, serving as head resident of Criswell Hall.

They were part of the Homecoming Court introduced at halftime of the men’s basketball game against Blue Mountain College.

Other Homecoming representatives were:

Freshmen Class: Courtney Grooms, a mathematics major from Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; Alicia Silva of Columbia, Tenn., whose major is undecided; Brad Ellis, a criminal justice major from Decatur, Ala.; and Justin Love, a business major from Arlington, Tenn.

Sophomore Class: Kara Abrams, an elementary education major from South New Berlin, N.Y.; Christin Martin, a behavioral sciences/human services major from Savannah, Tenn.; Zach Moffatt, a pre-seminary major from Kingston Springs, Tenn.; and Landon Dixon, a psychology major from Gatlinburg, Tenn.

Junior Class: Carissa Pilkinton, a criminal justice major from Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; Alesha Buie, a behavioral science major from Collinwood, Tenn.; Brett Helton, a criminal justice and psychology major from Pulaski; and A.J. McCroskey, a business major from Lawrenceburg.

Senior Class: Miranda Tucker, an elementary education major from Estill Springs, Tenn.; and Martin Campbell, a business management major from Airdrie, Scotland.
