Department of Safety and Security
Martin Methodist College department of Safety and Security was established in June of 2002. The main goal of this department is to protect the Safety and Security of the faculty, staff, students, and visitors of Martin Methodist College. Since the establishment of the Safety and Security Department there has been a very significant decreases in reported crimes on Campus. In 2001, there were 13 reported incidents on the Campus of Martin Methodist College. By 2004, there were only 1 reported incident on Campus, and the department is working hard to make sure that we accomplish a zero reported incident for this College.
The Department of Safety and Security is also responsible of parking on Campus. As on any caring Campus, our main responsibility is to make sure that our staff, students, faculty, and visitors are afforded safe and convenient parking on and around Campus. The way in which we try to accomplish this is by designating a Martin Methodist College parking permit to every student, faculty, staff who owns a vehicle on Campus. We also give temporary Visitors Parking permits to visitors on our Campus. In that way we are able to protect the safety of all vehicle belongings to members of the Martin Methodist College and our Visitors.
