Jody Pigg is a native of Pulaski Tennessee. He received his Associates Degree at Martin Methodist College, his BA from Athens State University, MA in history from Western Kentucky, and MAT in education at Austin Peay State University. He has taught history at Austin Peay State University since January of 2003 and has taught classes at the Fort Campbell Center for APSU as well. During the 2008-2009 semester he served as the history department administrator at Fort Campbell and was responsible for creating class schedules and evaluations of adjunct professors who taught at the Fort Campbell Center. He is a member of the Civil War Round Table in Clarksville.
Pigg specializes in nineteenth century American history along with studies in the Old South and the American Civil War. He has taught US History I and II, World History I and II, World Geography, and State and Local Government.
