MMC's Dramatic Arts Program will perform "Three by Andersen," an adaptation of three fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen.Serving as creator and director of the plays is MMC English Professor Dr. Kayla Wiggins. “Children's plays are wonderful because children get so excited about live theatre,” said Wiggins. “I have long been a fan of the wonderful tales of Hans Christian Andersen, and adapting three of his best stories--"The Emperor and the Nightingale," "The Emperor's New Clothes," and "The Princess and the Pea" was a real delight.  For fun and excitement, there is nothing like the combination of folk tales, live theatre, and children.”

The cast and crew comprise MMC students and faculty members who are all familiar faces within the Dramatic Arts Program: Chris Allen, Robert Austell, Georgia Austin, Webb Booth, Sydney Gregory, Mia Hallmark, McKinley Heard, Turner Henderson, Skylar Lovvo, Daarte Matteau, Lovey McDonald, Corey Nave, Elena Ramirez, Jessica Sudduth, Annslee Swann, Austin Toy, Myra Walker, Kayla McKinney Wiggins, Lydia Wossum-Fisher, and Kyla Young.

The plays, which will run approximately one hour, will be held on April 23 at 7 p.m. and April 24 at 1 p.m. in Martin Hall Auditorium. Admission is free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
