Martin Methodist wraps up spring semester with children's play
April 25, 2018
PULASKI, Tenn. – The Martin Methodist College (MMC) Dramatic Arts Program will present “The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party,” a tribute to the writings of Lewis Carrol.
“Lewis Carroll was a mathematics professor at Oxford who loved children,” said English Professor and Director of Drama Dr. Kayla Wiggins. “In an era when adults believed that the education of children should be serious and precise, Carroll realized that children loved nonsense. My favorite thing about his works for children is their whole-hearted spirit of fun.”
The cast and crew is comprised of a talented group of new and returning MMC students and faculty to the drama department. The cast features Chris Allen, Robert Austell, Sydney Gregory, Skylar Lovvo, Daarte Matteau, Annslee Swann, Maggie Walker, and Savanna Wilbanks. Chris Allen also serves as the stage manager, and Miku Sunaga serves as the production assistant.
The play will be held on April 29 at 7 p.m. and April 30 at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the Martin Hall Auditorium. Admission is free, and the community is encouraged to attend.
