- Martin Serves
Through its affiliation with Martin Methodist College’s Fine Arts Division (music, visual arts, drama), the Martin Methodist Community Arts Academy is dedicated to providing exceptional training in the arts by adhering to high standards of excellence in instruction. We are committed to contributing to and enhancing the art's culture of South Central Tennessee by offering quality group and private instruction and musical performances to all members in our local community. In essence, we offer Nashville quality instruction at a price that is appropriate for Pulaski.
Our highly qualified instructors encourage the development and nurturing of each student's musical interests and abilities. Group lessons provide introductory music instruction in a fun and social setting. Private lessons are tailored to meet the needs of each individual student while simultaneously appealing to a wide range of ages, levels, and abilities. It is widely recognized that the development and encouragement of one's musical abilities exerts a positive influence on academic performance, self-confidence and self-esteem, creativity, emotional expression, and discipline. Our primary goal is to provide students with an opportunity to pursue a lifetime of appreciation, participation, and enjoyment of music while making a positive contribution to the Giles County community.
Our offerings include:
Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin, Fiddle, Mandolin: All Ages
We offer private lessons in a variety of styles to students of all ages on range of instruments. Lessons are offered with college faculty and college student instructors on a weekly basis for either 30 or 60 minute less. To coincide with the academic year, we offer lessons on a 15-week basis during the Fall and Spring terms, and for 11 consecutive weeks in the summer.
We currently offer an eight week Songwriters Workshop (fall only) and an eight week group guitar class for ages 6 to 10 in the spring. There must be a minimum of four students for a class to run.
